As the proud resident orchestra of Overture Hall, the Madison Symphony Orchestra (MSO) celebrates its fourth season in its new home with a spectacular array of world-class guest artists. Under the artistic leadership of Music Director John DeMain, the MSO has achieved stature as a leading regional orchestra, and has expanded its season from 10 subscription performances to 27 and has a record number of season ticket holders. An additional 14,000 young people each year are inspired each year by music through the Symphony's education programs. At a time when orchestras around the country are scaling back programs or shutting their doors, the MSO has launched a new Friday night series to accommodate increasing demand for its inspiring, high-quality performances. The MSO is significantly enhancing the excitement of its performances in Overture Hall with the majestic 4,040-pipe Overture Concert Organ, which the Symphony commissioned as its contribution to the splendor of the Overture project. For ticket and concert information, call the Overture Center Box Office at 608.258.4141, or visit

The MSO is a professional, fully instrumented ensemble comprised of 90 musicians. These musicians come from all walks of life -- and are probably your neighbors, your music instructors and your friends.
