Patchwork Monkey
Patchwork Monkey is a rock'n'blues band that has been swingin' 'round Madison since 2002. The alchemical mixture of the tight strings, the danceable rhythm, and the Siren-like vocals is a transporting experience.

Biography
The original members of Patchwork Monkey, Rebecca Sites, and Alec Stanley, were joined by Jason Vitela on strings and Graham Thorbrogger on drums last year. What started out as a folk/blues/rock outfit has become an electric blues rock band with edgy and bawdy attitude. Dancing and laughing will distract you a little from the sometimes dark content.... Great night for date night:)
Patchwork Monkey has played venues including The High Noon Saloon, The Frequency, Madison Music Foundry, Mr. Robert's, Escape Coffee Gallery, The Frequency, hip private parties and swanky fundraisers. In 2006, MMM radio featured Patchwork Monkey's cover of "A Day in the Life" for its tribute to the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" 40th anniversary. Patchwork Monkey is amusing, appealing and arousing to audiences old and young alike. Their covers are ecclectic and range from Cab Calloway to Cole Porter, Amy Winehouse and Tenacious D. And of course blues legends Janis, Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi, and B.B. King. Their originals span in subject matter from painful self-loathing, to juicy and sexy situations. The alchemical mixture of the tight strings, the dancing rhythm, and the Siren-like vocals is a transporting experience.
